The Events and Volunteer Coordinator’s primary purpose is to assist the ministry and organizational growth of Alternatives of Battle Creek by assisting the Center Director and the Community Development Manager in developing a relational volunteer network and donor relations through the development, planning and execution of all the fundraising events and community development events building connection and community. In conjunction with corporate staff, will work to educate the public regarding the organization of Alternatives by recruiting, training and maintaining volunteer relationships.

Alternatives is looking for an energetic, creative person who enjoy a positive, fun, Christian work environment to fill the position of Education Instructor for our Kalamazoo & Battle Creek locations. You’ll have the opportunity to work where your passion and education mingle and be able to use your abilities and knowledge to have life-changing, eternal impact.
The educational outreach instructor prepares and delivers parent education programming to include
workshops, classes, and other future parenting programming—all while building relationships with the
participants to ensure active engagement.
This is position is part time, 12-15 hours per week including daytime and evening hours.
Some travel is required between office locations. Mileage will be paid when traveling outside of the home
office area located in Kalamazoo.
