Parenting Class Offerings

Parenting for Life (PFL):  8 Week Course

This 2-hour class meets weekly and is designed to increase parent-child connectedness by examining parenting styles, effective communication techniques and fundamental needs of children that must be provided in the home.  A 1-hour, 12 week class is also offered at some locations.

Building Family Connections (BFC):  10 Hour Workshop/Course

This course is designed to increase communication between parents and their teens regarding sexual health, resulting in a delay in the age of sexual debut.

Offered community-wide, these educational workshops for parents cover a variety of topics. Titles include: Great Parenting, Understanding Child Development, Discipline for Children, Nutrition for a Healthy Body and Mind, and the Value of Self-Care.
